Emily Lutze Oil Portraiture

As a local Textile Digital and Photographic Arts Secondary Teacher living in Sooke I enjoy seeing my students creativity bud and blossom on a daily basis. This vibrant energy pulses into my own love for oil portraiture.

I have had a lifelong passion for painting but really bloomed and defined myself as an artist during a weeklong intensive Portrait in Oils Workshop with Painter Robin Damore in Vancouver, Washington.

Many years of my career was spent as a freelance mural artist and I did the Graphic Design and Artwork for private clients and large scale companies like the Town of Beaumont in Alberta.

My passion is faces and the diversity of femininity in all it's forms. I also love to compose digital art pieces and photography to bring inspiration to my paintings.

I look forward to breeching my small home studio on Vancouver Island and sharing my art with the community.
