Emily Lutze Oil Portraiture

As a local Textile Digital and Photographic Arts Secondary Teacher living in Sooke I enjoy seeing my students creativity bud and blossom on a daily basis. This vibrant energy pulses into my own love for oil portraiture.

I have had a lifelong passion for painting but really bloomed and defined myself as an artist during a weeklong intensive Portrait in Oils Workshop with Painter Robin Damore in Vancouver, Washington. 

​

Many years of my career was spent as a freelance mural artist and I did the Graphic Design and Artwork for private clients and large scale companies like the Town of Beaumont in Alberta. 

​

My passion is faces and the diversity of femininity in all it's forms. I also love to compose digital art pieces and photography to bring inspiration to my paintings. 

​

I also adore photography and enjoy embracing and empowering diverse women and their connection with sensuality and nature. I co-create infusions of these loves in my Awakening the Goddess Boudoir Photography Series.

I have had my work shown at "The Sooke Fine Arts Show", "The Sooke Fine Arts Council Gallery" and "Serious Coffee-Featured Artist Gallery". I also participated in The Victoria Art Battle and won my first heat. I also had the honor of creating an art Door for the Habitat for Humanity Auction.

I look forward to breeching my small home studio on Vancouver Island and sharing my art with the community.
